One good idea would be to mount the TV above the fireplace and mount it on a pull-down mount so you can drop the TV down when in use (It will be at eye-level). This will make it easier to see while sitting in front of the fireplace. Once the TV is no longer in use you can pull it up to have a cluter-less look of the fireplace.
